Indra
Tirtha: Dharmāraṇya
Type: kshetra
Scene: Indra references the slaying of Vṛtrāsura; a subtle visual echo may show distant battlefield imagery fading behind the present forest audience with Śiva, emphasizing remorse after victory.
Violence—even in cosmic duty—can leave a karmic residue; liberation comes through divine refuge and sacred means of expiation.
Dharmāraṇya, the place where the remedy for Indra’s Vṛtrahatyā is revealed.
The verse itself is a plea; the remedial act is detailed in subsequent verses (entry into Dharmāraṇya and snāna).
