Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 47

यमाय मृत्यवे चैव आज्यभागं तदा ददुः । दत्त्वाज्यभागान्विधिवद्वव्रिरे ते शुभव्रताः

yamāya mṛtyave caiva ājyabhāgaṃ tadā daduḥ | dattvājyabhāgānvidhivadvavrire te śubhavratāḥ

Lalu mereka pun mempersembahkan ājyabhāga kepada Yama dan juga kepada Mṛtyu. Setelah memberikan ājyabhāga dengan tata aturan yang benar, mereka yang berkaul suci itu memilih pasangan nikah dengan semestinya.
