The verse portrays divine grace acting decisively to uproot adharma: the demon falls like a root-severed tree, symbolizing how bondage (pāśa) collapses when Shiva’s Shakti intervenes for the devotee and for dharma.
In Shaiva understanding, Devi’s trident-power is inseparable from Shiva; worship of the Linga honors Shiva as Pati together with his Shakti, whose protective, saguna action removes obstacles and restores cosmic order.
A practical takeaway is protective japa of the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") with devotion to Shiva-Shakti; one may also wear rudrākṣa and apply tripuṇḍra (bhasma) as Shaiva marks of surrender and inner purification.
