Sanatkumara
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga narrative; emphasizes removal of saṃśaya (doubt) through authoritative teaching (brahmavākya), a prerequisite for right practice.
Significance: Highlights ‘śravaṇa–manana’ leading to clarity; in Śaiva Siddhānta, right knowledge (samyagjñāna) supports liberation by preparing the paśu for Śiva’s grace.
Role: teaching
It highlights that true spiritual progress begins when doubt is removed through authoritative teaching, leading to harmony, clarity, and inner happiness—key steps toward Shaiva liberation (moksha) through right understanding.
By removing confusion about doctrine and practice, the verse supports steady Saguna Shiva/Linga worship with faith and correct view—so devotion is no longer mixed with uncertainty and becomes a clear means to grace.
The takeaway is śravaṇa and manana—listening to and reflecting on true teaching—so that japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and pūjā are performed with firm conviction rather than doubt.
