सुमित्रांतोन्वयोऽयं वै इक्ष्वाकूणां भविष्यति । राज्ञां वैचित्रवीर्य्याणां धर्म्मिष्ठानां सुकर्म्मणाम्
sumitrāṃtonvayo'yaṃ vai ikṣvākūṇāṃ bhaviṣyati | rājñāṃ vaicitravīryyāṇāṃ dharmmiṣṭhānāṃ sukarmmaṇām
Silsilah ini—yang berakhir pada Sumitrā—sungguh termasuk wangsa Ikṣvāku: para raja berkeperkasaan menakjubkan, teguh dalam dharma, dan tekun dalam perbuatan bajik.

The verse praises a dharmic royal lineage, implying that social order and righteous governance are supports for spiritual life; in Shaiva thought, such dharma helps the soul (paśu) reduce bondage (pāśa) and move toward the grace of the Lord (Pati).
Though genealogical, it frames kings as dharma-protectors—traditionally patrons of temples, vows, and Shiva worship—thereby sustaining Saguna Shiva devotion through public rites, festivals, and protection of sacred practice.
