It highlights that sincere humility and reverent service (ārādhana) soften the heart of the wise and invite grace—an essential step before higher Shaiva teachings on bondage (pāśa) and liberation can bear fruit.
Though the verse speaks of approaching Kaśyapa, its devotional principle mirrors Saguna Shiva worship: respectful approach, heartfelt supplication, and steady service are the inner attitudes that make Linga-pūjā spiritually effective.
The implied practice is ārādhana—daily disciplined worship and service with a calm mind; in Shaiva practice this is commonly expressed through mantra-japa (e.g., Om Namaḥ Śivāya), clean conduct, and consistent pūjā performed with humility.
