Sesungguhnya penjelmaan (avatāra) Bhagavān Viṣṇu adalah demi memelihara dan menata makhluk—untuk menjaga dharma serta menghukum yang durjana.
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
It frames avatāra as a divine instrument to restore dharma: beings are protected, adharma is checked, and the world is guided back toward right order—ultimately supporting the soul’s progress toward liberation under Pati (Śiva) as the supreme overseer.
While speaking of Viṣṇu’s descent, the Shiva Purana’s Shaiva lens emphasizes cosmic governance under Śiva: devotion to the Liṅga (Saguna Śiva) aligns the devotee with dharma, seeking protection, inner discipline, and the grace that removes pāśa (bondage).
A practical takeaway is steady dharma-sādhana: daily japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa, dedicating one’s actions to protecting dharma and restraining harmful impulses.
