Wahai yang terbaik di antara para dwija, melihat gerak cepat lirikan matanya, ia tak lagi percaya bahwa senjatanya sendiri dapat bergerak secepat itu—atau seanggun dan seampuh itu.

The verse contrasts external power (weapons and prowess) with an inner, subtler force—here symbolized by Sati’s glance—implying that spiritual potency and divine presence surpass mere worldly strength, aligning with Shaiva emphasis on inner transformation and devotion.
By showing the limits of outward force, the verse supports the Shaiva move from reliance on external means to reverent surrender before Saguna divinity—worship of Shiva in form (including the Linga) trains the mind to recognize a higher power that governs and transcends material instruments.
A practical takeaway is cultivating inward focus through japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namah Shivaya) and steady dhyana, replacing pride in capability with humility and devotion—core dispositions for Shaiva sadhana.
