Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Rudra
Shakti Form: Satī
Role: nurturing
Offering: naivedya
It highlights Satī’s disciplined bhakti—regulated food, tithi-based worship, and sustained observance—showing that devotion to Rudra becomes potent when joined with purity (śauca) and steadiness (niṣṭhā), aligning the devotee toward Śiva’s grace.
Rudra is approached here as Saguna Śiva—worshipped through concrete offerings and ritual timing—illustrating the Purāṇic path where form-based devotion (arcana) purifies the mind and prepares one for deeper realization of Śiva as the supreme Pati.
A vrata-like monthly observance: worship Rudra on an auspicious tithi with simple sattvic offerings (e.g., sesame preparations), maintaining purity and regularity; this can be paired with japa of the Panchakshara mantra, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” during the worship.
