Tattva Level: pashu
Role: nurturing
It highlights dharmic refinement—contentment, purity through ācamana, and orderly conduct—showing that even divine beings honor disciplined living, which supports inner purity conducive to devotion to Śiva (Pati).
Though the verse is narrative, it reflects the Shaiva ethos that external purity and proper observances prepare the mind for Saguna Śiva worship (including Liṅga-pūjā), where reverence and regulated conduct stabilize bhakti.
Ācamana (sipping water with mindful purification) is directly suggested; as a takeaway, one may begin or conclude worship with ācamana and then settle into quiet rest or japa with a purified, calm mind.
