पार्वत्याः तपः-परीक्षा (Śiva Tests Pārvatī’s Austerity)
तत्रापश्यत्स्थितां देवीं सखीभिः परिवारिताम् । वेदिकोपरि शुद्धां तां शिवामिव विधोः कलाम्
tatrāpaśyatsthitāṃ devīṃ sakhībhiḥ parivāritām | vedikopari śuddhāṃ tāṃ śivāmiva vidhoḥ kalām
Di sana ia melihat Sang Dewi berdiri dikelilingi para sahabatnya—suci di atas altar, bercahaya laksana Śivā sendiri, elok bagaikan seberkas sabit bulan.

The verse highlights darśana—recognizing the Divine Mother in her pure, sanctified presence. In a Shaiva Siddhanta lens, Śiva (Pati) is worshiped inseparably with Śakti (Śivā/Parvatī), and the devotee’s purified perception beholds divinity as radiant and auspicious.
It supports Saguna devotion: the sacred altar (vedikā) and the vision of Śivā-like radiance point to worship through form and presence. In Shiva Purana practice, Linga worship is likewise performed on a purified base/altar, where devotees seek auspicious darśana of Śiva-Śakti.
Maintain ritual purity of the worship space (śuddhi) and approach the altar with reverent focus; meditate on the moon-crested auspiciousness of Śiva and the luminous grace of Śivā. As a practical takeaway, pair clean altar worship with japa of the Panchākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
