सतीविरहानन्तरं शम्भोश्चरितम् / Śiva’s Conduct After Satī’s Separation
Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It highlights Shiva’s accessible Saguna aspect: even the Supreme Lord allows ordinary, human-like emotions and behavior in divine play (līlā), guiding devotees to approach Him with intimacy and trust.
The verse supports Saguna devotion—seeing Parameśvara as personally present and responsive. Linga worship similarly makes the transcendent Shiva approachable through a concrete focus for bhakti and reverence.
A practical takeaway is simple bhakti in Shiva’s presence—offer heartfelt prayer and recite the Panchakshara (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with the feeling that Parameśvara listens compassionately, even to ordinary human concerns.
