शिवपुत्रजननवर्णनम् — Description of the Birth/Manifestation of Śiva’s Son
ब्रह्मोवाच । तस्मिन्नवसरे तत्रा ऽगतास्सप्तमुनिस्त्रियः । तपोमासि स्नानकामाः प्रातस्सन्नियमा मुने
brahmovāca | tasminnavasare tatrā 'gatāssaptamunistriyaḥ | tapomāsi snānakāmāḥ prātassanniyamā mune
Brahmā bersabda: Wahai resi, pada saat itu juga istri-istri tujuh resi datang ke sana. Di bulan suci Tapomāsa, ingin melakukan mandi ritual, mereka tiba pada pagi hari dengan disiplin kaul dan tata-laku.

Though the verse describes preparatory observances, such disciplined snāna and vrata commonly precede temple worship and Linga-pūjā, aligning the devotee’s body-mind for focused Saguna Shiva devotion.
Early-morning vrata-based practice: dawn स्नान (ritual bath) with niyama; it may be paired with Shiva japa (e.g., the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and simple purity observances before worship.
