Senjata siapa pun, apa pun itu—semuanya secara khusus ditarik dengan paksa menuju Gaṇeśa; setelah sampai padanya, senjata-senjata itu terlepas dan menjadi tak berdaya.
Sūta Gosvāmin (narrating to the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: liberating
It portrays the supremacy of Śiva’s śakti as expressed through Gaṇeśa: worldly force and aggression collapse before divine authority, teaching the devotee to rely on surrender and dharma rather than violence.
Gaṇeśa functions as a manifest (saguṇa) protector within Śiva’s cosmic order; just as the Liṅga symbolizes Śiva’s sovereign presence, this episode shows that all powers become ineffective when opposed to Śiva’s divine will embodied by his gaṇa.
A practical takeaway is śaraṇāgati with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and Gaṇeśa remembrance before worship, cultivating inner non-aggression and obstacle-removal rather than retaliatory force.
