The Manifestation/Origin of the Rāmeśvara Liṅga

Sthala Purana: Colophon marking the completion of the Rāmeśvara-māhātmya chapter within Koṭirudrasaṃhitā; it functions as textual framing rather than narrative action.
Significance: Signals that the preceding section is a kṣetra-māhātmya intended to inspire pilgrimage, worship, and faith in Rāmeśvara’s grace.
It shows the complete arc of Shaiva sādhanā—stuti (praise), mantra-dhyāna (inner absorption), and pūjā (outer worship)—culminating in devotional ecstasy (dance) offered directly to Pati, Lord Śiva.
The verse reflects Saguna-Śiva upāsanā: the devotee approaches Śiva as “Svāmī” (personal Lord) through repeat pūjā and focused mantra-dhyāna, a pattern characteristic of Liṅga/Jyotirliṅga worship in the Koṭirudrasaṃhitā context.
Sustained japa with dhyāna (mantra-dhyānaparāyaṇa) followed by pūjā—i.e., combining inner recitation/meditation with formal offerings; the devotional dance indicates a fruit of concentrated bhakti rather than mere performance.
