Seeing Ravana's son, pale -faced, Vibheeshana replied as follows to Saumithri who was ready for combat.
Dharma here is expressed as timely counsel and clarity in action: Vibhīṣaṇa, aligned with righteousness, guides the warrior who is committed to a just cause, emphasizing disciplined engagement rather than impulsive reaction.
During the war in Laṅkā, Vibhīṣaṇa observes Rāvaṇa’s son in a dispirited state and speaks to Lakṣmaṇa, who is poised for combat, setting up the next tactical or moral instruction.
Vibhīṣaṇa’s virtue of satya-buddhi (truth-aligned discernment) and responsible guidance is emphasized—he speaks as a principled advisor in the midst of conflict.
