Setelah membunuh wanita itu, Indrajit berkata kepada Hanuman, "Lihatlah—Vaidehi milik Rama telah kutebas dalam kemarahanku. Usahamu menjadi sia-sia."
Indrajith killed that woman and said to Hanuman" see this Vaidehi, Rama's wife, cut up by my sword. Your exertion is useless now."
The verse demonstrates how adharma weaponizes untruth: Indrajit asserts a lie to break dharmic resolve; the Ramayana’s dharma framework treats satya as essential to rightful victory.
Indrajit addresses Hanumān immediately after the staged killing, claiming Sītā is dead and the vānaras’ mission is pointless.
Hanumān’s steadfastness is tested; the episode highlights the virtue of discernment—holding to truth and duty even amid shocking claims.
