Kumbhakarna’s Departure for Battle
कश्चिन्मेत्वत्समोनास्तिसौहृदेनबलेन च ।गच्छशत्रुवधायत्वंकुम्भकर्णजयाय च ।।।।
kaścin me tvatsamo nāsti sauhṛdena balena ca | gaccha śatrvavadhāya tvaṃ kumbhakarṇa jayāya ca ||
Bagiku tiada seorang pun setara denganmu—baik dalam kesetiaan kasih maupun dalam kekuatan. Pergilah, wahai Kumbhakarna, untuk membinasakan musuh dan meraih kemenangan.
"O Kumbhakarna! There is none who is equal to you in might and friendliness at heart towards me. You go and be victorious by killing the enemies."
It showcases the ruler’s reliance on personal loyalty and power; implicitly, it raises the dharmic question of whether loyalty should serve an unrighteous cause.
