युद्धकाण्डे एकोनषष्टितमः सर्गः
Rāvaṇa’s Assault on Nīla and Lakṣmaṇa; Hanumān Bears Rāma
तमाहसौमित्रिरदीनसत्त्वोविष्फारयन्तंधनुरप्रमेयम् ।अभ्येहिमामद्यनिशाचरेन्द्रनवानरांस्त्वप्रतियोद्धुमर्हः ।।6.59.94।।
tam āha saumitrir adīna-sattvo viṣphārayantaṃ dhanur aprameyam |
abhy ehi mām adya niśācarendra na vānaraṃs tvaṃ pratiyoddhum arhaḥ ||6.59.94||
Maka Saumitrī, berhati teguh tanpa gentar, berkata kepadanya ketika ia menggetarkan busurnya yang tak terukur: “Datanglah melawanku hari ini, wahai raja para niśācara; tidak patut bagimu bertarung melawan para Vānara.”
Saumithri who was not depressed in spirit (by Ravana's attack) addressing Ravana who was stretching his bow said "Oh! Lord of night rangers, Be aware. You ought not to fight with vanaras."
