चतुश्चत्वारिंशः सर्गः (Sarga 44): निशायुद्धम्, धूलिरुधिरप्रवाहः, इन्द्रजितो मायायुद्धम्
साबभूवनिशाघोराहरिराक्षसहारिणी ।।।।कालरात्रीवभूतानांसर्वेषांदुरतिक्रमा ।
sā babhūva niśā ghorā harirākṣasahāriṇī |
kālarātrīva bhūtānāṃ sarveṣāṃ duratikramā ||6.44.16||
Malam itu menjadi amat mengerikan, memusnahkan vānara dan rākṣasa tanpa membeda. Ia bagaikan Kālarātri bagi semua makhluk—sukar dilalui dan berat ditanggung.
