“Bagi seorang perempuan, bukan rumah, bukan pakaian, bukan tembok benteng, bukan pula cadar; bahkan penghormatan dan pengurungan bak raja pun—itulah bukan perlindungan sejati baginya.”
"For women it is not the house, boundary wall or clothes or protective wall or screen of cloth or even this kind of royal treatment or surrounding, is the protection."
Dharma teaches that real safety is grounded in righteous conduct and social responsibility, not merely in physical seclusion, barriers, or display of honor.
Rāma argues against excessive crowd-clearing done in the name of ‘protecting’ propriety, reframing what true protection means.
Rāma’s moral clarity and fairness—he challenges superficial notions of honor and protection.
