काकुत्स्थस्य शोकनिग्रहः—सुग्रीवसान्त्वनम्
Rama’s Grief Restrained—Sugriva’s Consolation
सत्यं ते प्रतिजानामि त्यज शोकमरिन्दम।करिष्यामि तथा यत्नं यथा प्राप्स्यसि मैथिलीम्।।
satyaṃ te pratijānāmi tyaja śokam arindama | kariṣyāmi tathā yatnaṃ yathā prāpsyasi maithilīm ||
Wahai penakluk musuh, tinggalkanlah kesedihanmu. Aku memberimu janji setiaku: Aku akan berusaha sedemikian rupa sehingga engkau akan mendapatkan kembali Maithili.
Wise Sugriva, chief of monkeys, heard the words of the magnanimous Rama, a bullamong men. He felt glad at heart thinking that his task has been achieved.ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē kiṣkindhākāṇḍē saptamassargaḥ৷৷Thus ends the seventh sarga of Kishkindakanda of the Holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by the sage Valmiki.
