Vali’s Funeral Rites and the Consolation of the Bereaved
आदाय शिबिकां तारस्स तु पर्यापतत्पुनः।वानरैरुह्यमानां तां शूरैरुद्वहनोचितैः4.25.21।।
ādāya śibikāṃ tāraḥ sa tu paryāpatat punaḥ | vānarair uhyamānāṃ tāṃ śūrais udvahanocitaiḥ || 4.25.21 ||
Setelah memperoleh tandu itu, Tārā segera bergegas kembali kepadanya, sementara tandu tersebut sedang dipanggul oleh para vānara pahlawan yang pantas memikul beban demikian.
Tara jumped in on to the litter carried by strong monkeys.
Collective duty: many act together so that the required rites can proceed respectfully and efficiently.
The palanquin is brought out and carried by strong vānaras; Tārā returns with it for the funeral proceedings.
Cooperation and readiness to serve: the vānaras undertake physically demanding work to support dharmic rites.
