Sugriva’s Remorse and Tara’s Lament after Vali’s Death
त्वं वेत्थ यावद्वनिताविहीनःप्राप्नोति दुःखं पुरुषः कुमारः।तत्त्वं प्रजानन् जहि मां न वालीदुःखं ममादर्शनजं भजेत।।
tvaṃ vettha yāvad vanitāvihīnaḥ prāpnoti duḥkhaṃ puruṣaḥ kumāraḥ | tattvaṃ prajānan jahi māṃ na vālī duḥkhaṃ mamādarśanajaṃ bhajet ||
Engkau tahu betapa menderitanya seorang pria muda tanpa istrinya. Mengetahui hal ini, bunuhlah aku, agar Vali tidak menanggung pedihnya perpisahan.
'You are aware of the grief of a young man separated from his wife. Kill me so that I can go to Vali. Let not Vali experience the sorrow of not seeing me.
