Rama’s Justification to Vali on Rājadharma
'O lord of men! may you have the same kind of affection for Sugriva and Angada as you have for Bharata and Lakshmana.
Dharma calls for impartial benevolence: those taken under one’s protection should receive care comparable to one’s own family.
Vali urges Rama to treat the Vanara king Sugriva and young Angada with the same steadfast concern Rama shows his own brothers.
Loyal, family-like commitment—Rama’s capacity to extend kinship ethics beyond blood relations.
