Rama, bersama Saumitri (Laksmana) dan setelah dihormati dengan layak oleh resi Sūtīkṣṇa, bermalam di sana; dan ketika fajar menyingsing, beliau pun terjaga kembali.
Rama, worshipped by Sutikshna and accompanied by Lakshmana, spent the night at the hermitage, and got up early in the morning.
It highlights āśrama-dharma: the mutual duties of guest and host—Rama receives the sage’s honour respectfully, and the sage offers reverent hospitality.
Rama and Lakshmana have stayed the night at Sūtīkṣṇa’s hermitage in the Daṇḍaka region and awaken at dawn to continue their journey.
Rama’s restraint and discipline (maryādā) are implied through his orderly conduct—resting appropriately and rising at daybreak in a sage’s hermitage.
