Concept: Śravaṇa of a devotee’s/virtuous person’s mahātmyam awakens joy and strengthens dharma; appreciation of virtue is itself transformative.

Application: Regularly hear and reflect on uplifting narratives (purana-katha, lives of the virtuous); let admiration become imitation—translate inspiration into conduct.

Primary Rasa: shringara

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"The husband, eyes shimmering and trembling with joy, turns toward his wife as if seeing her anew—her virtue now crowned by the testimony of the gods. FAQs

It depicts the husband’s inner change after hearing of his wife’s wondrous virtue—he becomes delighted and visibly overwhelmed, with eyes agitated by joy.

By praising “āścarita-māhātmya” (the glory of exemplary conduct) and calling the husband “dharmātmā,” it frames marital companionship as a shared space where virtue inspires and elevates both partners.

Recognize and rejoice in genuine virtue: hearing of noble conduct should lead to appreciation, moral uplift, and supportive togetherness rather than indifference or envy.
