Concept: Even the great Lord Bhava honors a realm characterized by śānti-guṇa; peace is a spiritual quality, not mere absence of noise.

Application: Cultivate ‘śānti-guṇa’ in home and mind—simplicity, non-harm, and devotion—so one’s dwelling becomes a ‘nivāsa’ of merit.

FAQs

‘Bhava’ is an epithet of Śiva, portraying him here as the great-souled observer of a sacred, auspicious abode.

Śrīnandana is praised as a dwelling fit for the meritorious (puṇyavatām), a giver of happiness (sukhākara), and a place characterized by peace (śānti-guṇa).

The verse implies that virtue and merit align one with peaceful, uplifting environments—suggesting that inner conduct (puṇya) and one’s spiritual destination are closely linked.
