Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents a progression of spiritual maturation: ethical virtues (truth and self-control) and scriptural understanding culminate in becoming a Vaiṣṇava—devotion to Viṣṇu as the fulfilled outcome of dharmic life.
Bhakti is shown as the natural ‘afterward’ (paścāt) fruit of purified character and correct grasp of Vedic-śāstric meaning—devotion grounded in understanding, not mere sentiment.
The verse emphasizes artha-jñāna—competence in interpreting the meaning of Veda and śāstra (a practical outcome supported by Vedāṅga disciplines like Vyākaraṇa and Nirukta for accurate comprehension).
