The Greatness of Kāśī (Avimukta): Pilgrimage Calendar, Yātrā-Dharma, and the Network of Śiva-Liṅgas
Narada (in dialogue tradition with Sanatkumara in Uttara-Bhaga tirtha/vrata discourse)
Vrata: none (tithi-mahatmya for Gaurī-darśana implied)
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It teaches that Caitra Śukla Tṛtīyā is a highly meritorious tithi, and that devotional darśana/worship of Gaurī on this day yields great spiritual and religious fruit.
Bhakti is presented as the essential inner attitude—“bhaktibhāva”—through which darśana (reverent beholding and worship) of the Goddess becomes spiritually effective, emphasizing heartfelt devotion over mere formality.
It highlights calendrical/ritual timing based on the lunar tithi system (pakṣa and tithi), an applied aspect of Jyotiṣa (Vedāṅga) used to determine auspicious observances and vrata days.
