वत्सं भारेण कुर्वीत भाराभ्यां मध्यमा स्मृता । अर्द्धभारेण वत्सः स्यात्कनिष्ठा भारकेण तु ॥ ८ ॥

Transliteration

vatsaṃ bhāreṇa kurvīta bhārābhyāṃ madhyamā smṛtā | arddhabhāreṇa vatsaḥ syātkaniṣṭhā bhārakeṇa tu || 8 ||

Translation

Ukuran yang disebut vatsa hendaknya dibuat seberat satu bhāra. Ukuran menengah diingat sebagai dua bhāra. Vatsa kecil setengah bhāra, dan yang paling kecil adalah satu bhāraka.
