Makanlah hanya sekali, lalu lakukan puasa. Mereka yang belum ditunaikan rangkaian Śrāddha yang terkumpul, tidak memperoleh bahkan piṇḍa persembahan.
Narada (instructional narration within Uttara-Bhaga ritual context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It links disciplined observance (single-meal and fasting) with the efficacy of ancestral rites, emphasizing that neglect of Śrāddha disrupts the intended benefit of piṇḍa offerings for the departed.
While primarily ritual-focused, it supports Bhakti through dharmic discipline: regulated food and fasting are traditional supports for purity and steadiness, which strengthen devotional practice and sacred duty.
It highlights Kalpa (ritual procedure) through rules of vrata (single-meal + upavāsa) and the correct performance of Śrāddha and piṇḍa-dāna in Pitṛ-kārya.
