Narada (teaching in a technical Vedanga-style enumeration of mantra attributes)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It defines key mantra-lakṣaṇas—metre (chandas) and presiding deity (devatā)—and states that wise practitioners use this Krishna-mantra to gain complete prosperity and success, linking technical Vedic method with devotional focus.
Bhakti is expressed by treating Kṛṣṇa Himself as the devatā—specifically in His childlike form—so the mantra is not merely technical recitation but devoted service (sevyate) directed to a personal, lovable manifestation of the Lord.
It highlights Chandas (a Vedāṅga): the mantra’s metre is identified as Anuṣṭubh, a practical requirement in traditional mantra-vidhi for correct recitation and ritual application.
