Narada
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It preserves the standard Vedic mantra-framework—ṛṣi (seer), chandas (metre), devatā (presiding deity), and phala (result)—showing that mantra practice in the Narada Purana is grounded in Vedāṅga-based technical correctness, not merely recitation.
By specifying the mantra’s devatā and its disciplined structure, the verse implies that devotion is strengthened through properly directed worship—bhakti becomes focused when the deity, metre, and seer are known and honored in japa and ritual.
Chandas (Vedic prosody) and mantra-lakṣaṇa: the verse identifies the Gāyatrī metre and records the mantra’s syllable-count (eighteen), along with its ṛṣi and intended fruit, which are key components of mantra-vidhi.
