Mantra-Māhātmya and Sādhana of Kārtavīryārjuna
Nyāsa, Yantra, Homa, and Dīpa-Vrata
वर्मास्त्राभ्यामस्त्रमुक्तं शेषार्णैर्व्यापकं पुनः । हृदये जठरे नाभौ जठरे गुह्यदेशतः ॥ १३ ॥
varmāstrābhyāmastramuktaṃ śeṣārṇairvyāpakaṃ punaḥ | hṛdaye jaṭhare nābhau jaṭhare guhyadeśataḥ || 13 ||
Demikian setelah melepaskan astra bersama mantra varma, hendaknya ia kembali melakukan nyāsa pelindung yang meresapi segalanya dengan suku kata yang tersisa—di hati, di perut, di pusar, lagi di perut, dan di bagian rahasia (bawah).

Though technical, the practice supports Bhakti by creating a protected, focused inner field for worship—so the devotee’s mind and senses remain steady for sustained remembrance and mantra-japa.
It highlights applied mantra-vidhi and nyāsa (ritual placement), a technical discipline closely tied to correct phonetic syllable-use (Śikṣā) and precise ritual procedure (Kalpa).
