Narada (instructional voice within the Narada Purana’s technical/Upadesha context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It emphasizes adhikāra (eligibility) and śraddhā (reverent fitness): sacred, transformative instructions are preserved by sharing them only with those who have been tested for character, discipline, and sincerity.
By insisting on qualified transmission, it protects bhakti and mantra-oriented practice from becoming casual or performative; devotion matures under guidance from a guru and within a disciplined teacher–disciple relationship.
It highlights the traditional pedagogy of Vedāṅga learning—strict oral/lineage-based instruction, confidentiality of specialized manuals, and examination of a student’s preparedness before imparting technical knowledge.
