Saṅdhyā-ādi Nitya-karma-Vidhi
नारदं पर्वतं जिष्णुं निशठोद्धवदारुकान् । विष्वक्सेनं च शैलेयं वैष्णवः परितर्पयेत् ॥ ७६ ॥
nāradaṃ parvataṃ jiṣṇuṃ niśaṭhoddhavadārukān | viṣvaksenaṃ ca śaileyaṃ vaiṣṇavaḥ paritarpayet || 76 ||
Seorang bhakta Vaiṣṇava hendaknya mempersembahkan tarpaṇa kepada Nārada, Parvata, Jiṣṇu, Niśaṭha, Uddhava, Dāruka, serta kepada Viṣvaksena dan Śaileya.
Narada (within the Narada–Sanatkumara dialogue framework)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It frames Vaiṣṇava devotion as disciplined ritual conduct: honoring Viṣṇu’s devotees/attendants and revered figures through tarpana is presented as a supportive limb (aṅga) of bhakti and sacred remembrance.
Bhakti is shown not only as inner feeling but as reverential service—offering tarpana to saintly figures and Viṣṇu’s attendant Viṣvaksena reinforces devotion through gratitude, lineage-memory, and ritual respect.
Ritual application (kalpa-style procedure) is implied: the verse functions as a technical instruction listing specific recipients for tarpana within a Vaiṣṇava observance.
