न्यूना चेत्स्यात्तदा भावी वामं युग्मपदस्य च । यदान्यत्वं विधोः क्रांतिः क्षेपाच्चेद्यदि शुद्ध्यति ॥ १७८ ॥
nyūnā cetsyāttadā bhāvī vāmaṃ yugmapadasya ca | yadānyatvaṃ vidhoḥ krāṃtiḥ kṣepāccedyadi śuddhyati || 178 ||
Jika hasil perhitungan kurang, maka koreksi diterapkan pada anggota kiri (yang mendahului) dari pasangan itu. Dan ketika krānti Bulan berubah, bila dengan menambahkan kṣepa ia menjadi tepat, maka dengan penambahan itulah ia harus diselaraskan.
