इष्टैः पलैस्तदूनाढ्यं व्यगावूनेऽर्कषङ्गुणः । तदन्यथाधिके तस्मिन्नेवं स्पष्टे सुखांत्यगे ॥ १५७ ॥
iṣṭaiḥ palaistadūnāḍhyaṃ vyagāvūne'rkaṣaṅguṇaḥ | tadanyathādhike tasminnevaṃ spaṣṭe sukhāṃtyage || 157 ||
Bila jumlah pala yang ditetapkan kurang atau lebih, hasil pun menjadi kurang atau lebih sesuai itu. Jika kekurangan sebesar satu vyagāva, hasil dikalikan faktor Matahari, yakni enam. Jika sebaliknya berlebih, hasil diubah menurutnya—demikian perhitungan dijelaskan terang, berakhir pada pembagian buah kenikmatan.
