Adhyaya 45 — Jaimini’s Cosmological Questions and the Opening of Markandeya’s Account of Primary Creation
प्रलयस्यानु तेनेदं व्याप्तमासीदशेषतः ।
गुणसाम्यात्ततस्तस्मात् क्षेत्रज्ञाधिष्ठितान्मुने ॥
pralayasyānu tenedaṃ vyāptam āsīd aśeṣataḥ | guṇasāmyāt tatas tasmāt kṣetrajñādhiṣṭhitān mune ||
Sesudah pralaya (peleburan), seluruh alam semesta ini sepenuhnya meresap dan diliputi oleh prinsip yang tak termanifest (avyakta) itu. Lalu, wahai resi, di bawah kehadiran pemimpin Kṣetrajña (Sang Pengenal Medan), dari keseimbangan guṇa-guṇa, proses penciptaan berlangsung.
