vaiśampāyana uvāca | tīrthāni saritaḥ śailāḥ puṇyāny āyatanāni ca | mahārāja! pūrvadiśi yāni bahūni tīrthāni nadyaḥ parvatāś ca puṇyamandirāṇi cāsti, teṣāṃ mayā tava saṅkṣepeṇa varṇanaṃ kṛtam | idānīṃ śeṣāṇāṃ trīṇāṃ diśāṃ saritāṃ parvatānāṃ puṇyasthānānāṃ ca varṇanaṃ karomi, śṛṇu ||
Vaiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai raja agung, telah kusingkatkan bagimu banyak tīrtha, sungai, gunung, dan tempat suci yang berada di arah timur. Kini dengarkan ketika kuuraikan sungai, gunung, dan kawasan-kawasan suci yang tersisa di tiga arah lainnya.”
