यावदस्थि मनुष्यस्य गड़ाया: स्पृशते जलम् | तावत् स पुरुषो राजन् स्वर्गलोके महीयते,राजन! मनुष्यकी हड्डी जबतक गंगाजलका स्पर्श करती है, तबतक वह पुरुष स्वर्गलोकमें पूजित होता है
yāvad asthi manuṣyasya gaṅgāyāḥ spṛśate jalam | tāvat sa puruṣo rājan svargaloke mahīyate ||
Pulastya berkata: “Wahai Raja, selama tulang seorang manusia masih bersentuhan dengan air Sungai Gaṅgā, selama itu pula orang itu dimuliakan di alam surga.”
