दमयन्ती-शपथः वायोः साक्ष्यं च

Damayantī’s Oath and Vāyu’s Testimony

प्रेषितं तत्र राज्ञा तु मांसं चैव प्रभूतवत्‌ । तस्य प्रक्षालनार्थाय कुम्भास्तत्रोपकल्पिता:,संकुचित स्थानमें भी उसके लिये बहुत बड़ा अवकाश बन जाता है। राजा भीमने ऋतुपर्णके लिये अनेक प्रकारके भोज्य पदार्थ भेजे थे। उसमें प्रचुर मात्रामें केला आदि फलोंका गूदा भी था,- उसको धोनेके लिये वहाँ खाली घड़े रख दिये थे

preṣitaṃ tatra rājñā tu māṃsaṃ caiva prabhūtavat | tasya prakṣālanārthāya kumbhās tatropakalpitāḥ ||

Bṛhadaśva berkata: “Di sana sang raja juga mengirim daging dalam jumlah melimpah. Dan untuk mencucinya, tempayan-tempayan telah disiapkan di tempat itu.”
