Vidura’s Recall from Kāmyaka-vana and Reconciliation with Dhṛtarāṣṭra (विदुरानयनम् / क्षमायाचनम्)
Karṇa uvāca: kāmam īkṣāmahe sarve Duryodhana tavāpsitam | aikamatyaṃ hi no rājan sarveṣām eva lakṣaye ||
The verse highlights the power and peril of collective resolve: loyalty and unanimity can strengthen a leader’s plans, but ethically it also raises the question of whether unity is being used in service of righteous aims (dharma) or merely to advance personal desire (kāma).
Karna addresses Duryodhana, assuring him that the group is aligned with Duryodhana’s intended objective and that there is a shared consensus to work toward fulfilling his desire.
