यदि त्वं भजमानां मां प्रत्याख्यास्यसि मानद । विषमग्निं जल॑ं रज्जुमास्थास्ये तव कारणात्,“मानद! आपके चरणोंमें भक्ति रखनेवाली मुझ दासीको यदि आप स्वीकार नहीं करेंगे तो मैं आपके ही कारण विष, अग्नि, जल अथवा फाँसीको निमित्त बनाकर अपना प्राण त्याग दूँगी'
bṛhadaśva uvāca | yadi tvaṃ bhajamānāṃ māṃ pratyākhyāsyasi mānada | viṣam agniṃ jalaṃ rajjum āsthāsye tava kāraṇāt ||
Wahai yang mulia, jika engkau menolak aku yang berbakti kepadamu, maka karena engkau aku akan menempuh racun, api, air, atau jerat tali, dan mengakhiri hidupku.
