इति लोके निर्वचनं पुरश्चरति भारत । अपि चैता: स्त्रियो बाला: स्वाध्यायमधिकुर्वते,“भारत! लोकमें यह उपर्युक्त सत्य प्रवाद पहलेसे चला आ रहा है । स्त्रियाँ और बच्चेतक इसे नित्य किये जानेवाले पाठकी तरह दुहराते रहते हैं
iti loke nirvacanaṃ puraścarati bhārata | api caitāḥ striyo bālāḥ svādhyāyam adhikurvate ||
Waiśampāyana berkata: “Wahai Bhārata, demikianlah ungkapan yang telah lama beredar di dunia. Bahkan perempuan dan anak-anak pun mengulanginya, laksana pelajaran harian.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse underscores the authority of widely accepted tradition: a truth becomes socially validated when it is long-circulating and repeatedly recited, even by those outside formal scholarly circles.
Vaiśaṃpāyana pauses to frame a statement as an established worldly maxim, emphasizing that it is already well-known and commonly repeated, thereby lending weight to the point being made in the surrounding episode.
