भीम उवाच प्रातिकाम्यनयत् कृष्णां सभायां प्रेष्यवत् तदा । न मया निहततस्तत्र तेन प्राप्ता: सम संशयम्,भीमसेनने कहा--जब प्रातिकामीकी जगह दूत बनकर गया हुआ दु:शासन द्रौपदीको कौरवोंकी सभामें दासीकी भाँति बलपूर्वक खींच ले आया, उस समय मैंने जो उसका वध नहीं कर डाला; इसीके कारण हमलोग ऐसे धर्मसंकटमें पड़े हैं
bhīma uvāca | prātikāmyānayat kṛṣṇāṃ sabhāyāṃ preṣyavat tadā | na mayā nihatatas tatra tena prāptāḥ sma saṃśayam ||
Bhima berkata: “Ketika Pratikamin, bagaikan pesuruh hina, menyeret Krishna (Draupadi) ke balairung Kaurava seperti seorang budak perempuan, aku tidak membunuhnya saat itu juga. Karena kelalaianku itulah kini kita jatuh ke dalam bimbang dan bahaya dharma yang berat.”
