Educational Q&A

The verse teaches that the Lord is all-pervading—like space—and that the distribution of happiness and suffering follows moral causality: beings experience outcomes in line with their actions, under a divine governance that maintains cosmic order.

Yudhiṣṭhira reflects on the nature of divine rule and moral consequence, addressing “Bhārata,” and frames human experience—good fortune and suffering—as something dispensed by Īśvara in accordance with deeds.
