प्राकारस्थाक्ष ये केचिन्निशाचरगणास्तथा । प्रदुद्रुव॒ुस्ते शतश: कपिभि: समभिद्रुता:,जो कोई निशाचर चहारदीवारीकी रक्षाके लिये सैकड़ोंकी संख्यामें वहाँ खड़े थे, वे सब वानरोंद्वारा खदेड़े जानेपर भाग खड़े हुए

Transliteration

prākārasthākṣa ye kecin niśācaragaṇās tathā | pradudruvus te śataśaḥ kapibhiḥ samabhidrutāḥ ||

Translation

Mārkaṇḍeya berkata: “Kelompok-kelompok rākṣasa pengembara malam yang berjaga di atas benteng—berjumlah ratusan—ketika diserbu dan didesak mundur oleh para kera, lari tunggang-langgang.”
