Educational Q&A

Extraordinary power—especially divine weaponry—demands discernment and restraint: the verse underscores that some forces are beyond ordinary conquest, and that possessing incomparable weapons heightens ethical responsibility in how conflict is pursued.

Bhīma is emphasizing the opponent’s (or warrior’s) near-invincibility: he cannot be defeated even by all beings together, is difficult even for the gods to face, and has been armed with the Pāśupata weapon by Bhīma, along with other mighty weapons received from the Lokapālas such as the vajra.
